Hello sweet mamas!
My name is Holleigh, and I’m a wife to a loving husband, Jayce, and mama to three amazing kids, Bradyn, Addisyn, and Taylyn. I love being a homemaker, and I have a passion for instilling Biblical values in my family and making my home beautiful. God has been so good to give my family such a lovely home, and I’m making it my mission to honor it like the temple it is.
After a lot of encouragement from the women in my Bible study, I’ve decided to take my thoughts, musings, recipes, crafting...you name it!...and put them all in a blog and on social media (for more inspiration and encouragement, follow me on Instagram and TikTok at @homesweetholleigh!).
I’m a little nervous for this jump, but I’m so excited to create a space for community for other mamas, where together we can dwell in the sweetness of the ordinary and our shared path to fulfill a homemaker's calling.

My life goal is to always embody the Proverbs 31 Woman. Some may say that starting a blog doesn't fulfill this goal, since I'm ministering outside the Home. I love to serve my family, but there’s a part of this chapter that people often look over. People often forget that part of the reason as to why this woman is praised is her business savvy.
“She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night.” (Proverbs 31:16-18, NLT)
While my husband is the breadwinner, as I believe it’s the Biblical duty for a wife and mother to stay at home, I want to help contribute to my family and leave behind a legacy that my kids can be proud of. While this is a passion project, it could potentially become a business venture for me. You may see me discuss certain products, or provide links to them...especially from my happy place, Hobby Lobby! I can earn a commission if you decide to purchase any of those items for your home, but the goal here is to give you encouragement, and hope, in the midst of very dark times in a world that needs Jesus so badly.

I decided to publish my first entry on November 11th- 11/11, for the significance of the number. A lot of people have that superstition of “it’s 11:11, make a wish!” In the study of numerology (which I denounce), 1111 is interpreted as a powerful number for manifestation (scary word, I know), signifying divine guidance and support from above.
I don’t believe in luck. I don't believe in manifestation. I believe in a God who loves me and cares for me deeply. If God cares for the smallest creatures on the planet, can you imagine how much He cares for me? I believe in the power of prayer. I believe that God hears me and listens. I believe that God cares about you, and has put this calling on my heart to share my beliefs, knowledge, and crafty spirit with all of you. Call this my calling, and my ministry. I chose 11/11 specifically because I believe in the 1 true God. I believe in channeling my focus on my faith over the noise of the world, and I hope this blog, or whatever it turns out to be becomes a sweet moment of rest and rejuvenation for you.

Part of where the idea for the blog came from is my daily practice of journaling- this can be a highly fulfilling way to connect with the Lord. Specifically, a Christian mom gratitude journal is a beautiful way to weave together faith, motherhood, and mindfulness. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial to help you create one:
🌿 Tutorial: How to Create a Christian Mom Gratitude Journal

1. Pray and Set Your Intention
Before you start, take a few minutes to pray over your journal. Ask God to:
Center your heart on gratitude.
Help you notice His blessings in everyday life — even the messy moments.
Use this journal to draw you (and maybe others) closer to Him.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
2. Choose Your Journal Format
You can make this as simple or creative as you’d like:
Notebook or bullet journal — perfect for handwritten reflections.
Digital version (like a printable PDF) — great for designing and sharing with your readers.
Hybrid — write prompts and Scriptures by hand, but decorate or design on Canva or Word.
3. Create a Layout
Here’s a simple layout that works beautifully for Christian moms:
Date:
Scripture for the Day: (Pick one verse about gratitude, peace, strength, or motherhood.)
Three Blessings I’m Thankful For:
A Moment I Saw God Today:
Prayer of Thanks:
Optional sections you could include:
“Grace for Myself Today” — a reminder of God’s mercy.
“Answered Prayers” — a place to look back on His faithfulness.
“What My Kids Taught Me Today” — turns motherhood moments into lessons of gratitude.
4. Add Scripture Prompts
Include a verse on each page or section. Some beautiful ones for gratitude are:
Psalm 107:1 — “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
Colossians 3:17 — “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
James 1:17 — “Every good and perfect gift is from above.”
Philippians 4:6–7 — “Do not be anxious about anything… but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
5. Decorate and Personalize
If you’re crafting it by hand:
Use soft, peaceful colors — like sage, blush, or cream.
Add stickers, washi tape, or watercolor accents.
Write little affirmations like “God is faithful” or “I am blessed to be their mama.”
If digital:
Use Canva templates for a clean, printable layout.
Choose fonts that feel warm and graceful (like “Playfair Display” or “Great Vibes”).
6. Build a Routine
Encourage yourself (and your readers) to:
Write once a day, even for 5 minutes.
Include your children sometimes — ask what they are thankful for.
Revisit old entries monthly and highlight answered prayers.
Example Entry:
Date: November 11
Verse: Psalm 118:24 — “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Three Blessings:
Morning coffee shared with my husband.
A quiet moment during nap time.
My daughter’s laughter filling the kitchen.
Saw God in: The patience He gave me when I felt tired.
Prayer: “Thank You, Lord, for meeting me in my motherhood. Help me to find joy in the ordinary and to remember that every small act of love honors You.”
